Chinese Bamboo
Paulo Coelho is one of my favorite and interesting writers.He has always inspired me.Whatever he says has created a profound impact on my mind.Very recently I read his best seller book”Aleph”.The book has not only topped readers chart but have also influenced lot of people and their thinking.
A very fantastic concept which he has explained in his book is of a“Chinese Bamboo”
Chinese Bamboo spends five years in its growth process as a little shoot, the only visible aspect of its existence. However, during those five years the Chinese Bamboo is developing its root system. After the five years of being a little shoot and developing its root system the Chinese Bamboo goes through a growth spurt and overtime becomes 25 meters high.
Have you ever chased a dream,worked hard for a project,passion or given too much in a relationship but have quit it because you didn’t see the results right away?
DO NOT QUIT.
In all these time you are building the root of the bamboo which will make the foundation very strong.And one fine day you will see the results.Your dream,passion,vision will come true.In the meanwhile there will be many to pull you down,criticize and say this is not “Practical” or possible. Do not listen to them.They are just seeing the shoot and not the root.You know yourself about how much you have given.Just stand by it and march towards your dream your passion.
Most people give up when they are about to achieve success. They quit on one yard line. They give up at the last minute of the game,one foot from winning touchdown
Don’t quit..dont give up..
