Dear Zindagi..With love
Okay..there
are some who loved it and some who hated it.. It is definitely a slow film but
has a very deep topic which only a few will understand. However if you do not ‘feel”
enough..you may be put off by it
I am a big fan of Alternative healing, psycho therapy and NLP techniques. The movie shows various techniques like ink blot test, memories, tree hugging and analogies, which many counselors use .And being a Spiritual Coach and counselor seeing cases like Kiara is very common.I personally have met people with insomnia or some kind of childhood issue or are targets of bullying impacting a person’s subconscious mind and it breaks my heart to see them suffering in a misunderstood adult life. Being a spiritual coach I believe that person’s mental state is very important and a tender topic to ponder upon.

I
personally loved the movie and watched it immediately even before the reviews came out and felt it was really a deep topic( not because it
has SRK and I am an unrealistic girl wearing rose glasses staring at him as if
it is 1998).The below is just my analysis of the movie
Hats off
to Gauri Shinde for showcasing such a sensitive but extremely common issue. It
was great to see Kiara come out of suppressing her inner demons and openly
facing them and we hope more and more people come of age not just physically
but also emotionally by empowering themselves
My
takeaways from the movie for each and everyone reading this..whether you loved
it or hated it
1) It is
ok not to feel good. Mental illness is not a taboo contrary to society norms..infact
it is good to get the crap out of your head and set yourself free.
2) We all
are unique. There is no right or wrong way to live your life. Living life
pretending to be someone else wont do good.Be yourself
3)
Express yourself .. Suppressing does more bad than good. stop masking your
feelings.A Dimaag ka doctor can always help you sort. There are so many
professionals who can help you find root cause of issue. If we suppress tears to
maintain our image, it can do more harm than good. We are human beings and not
robots and emotions is or natural state
4) Identify
your close 5 and honour only those relationships which make you feel happy
loved special safe and respected. Anyone and anything else is not worth
5) Heal
your inner child. Most of our issues are born in our childhood or early
adolescence .If healed can stop us from a lot of emotional turbulence
which affects our adult life
6) Insomnia
is a symptom not a disease .Find the reason what makes you not sleep and
stay awake.Prolonged insomnia can cause effects not just on your mental but
your physical health.
7) Sort
yourself and you won't care about the world. The person who understands himself
and is on his own doesn't need approval of anyone else
8) To get
different results take different steps " Albert Einstein has once said “Insanity:
doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
9) Road
to happiness is not always complicated; simple straightforward road can give
happiness too ..Simplicity is what makes life easier.Though it is good to be
competitive, but also take time out to smell the roses, love unconditionally
and spend time with real friends
10)
Forgive all those close to you. Be it parents, friends , ex-lovers. It makes
you feel lighter and gives you big relief rather than holding on grudges
11) It is
better to choose a relationship after a couple of relationship failures rather
than settle for one due to the fear of dying alone or because it is time or
because society demands. The base of any relationship lies in the mutual
understanding love and respect. Anything else is a waste
12) Good
memories are extremely powerful. Remembering them again and again can trick
your brain to happiness .Remember Harry Potter's Patronus charm? Yes that is the best way to be happy!
13) Love
yourself enough. Else you cannot love others. Spend some time alone..love your own company. This ensures all your relationships are healthy
14) Dont
let your romantic relationship being the all encompassing one. Though it is
good to have your partner one in all package , but don't drag him/her to all
parts of life and to fulfill each and every thing. It will be better to have a
yoga friend, movie friend , food friend etc.A romantic relationship should set
you free , not chain you. When you identify each other’s space and respect each other life becomes more beautiful
15) Take
charge of your life and sit in driver’s seat. You can then drive your life the
way you want ..so go take charge !!
PS: For
all those who thought it was unrealistic, romantic with SRK and teenage girl in
love with an old man..or pink glassed movie or rubbish nonsense, it is a point
of view. The above is not meant to criticise or condemn any point of view. These are my opinions , hence a writeup

ReplyDeleteWell written Wini. Gauri Shinde has given us another matured movie. Alia and SRK was superb too.
ReplyDeleteMy biggest takeaway from the movie was that it's ok to take the easier option at times. It's ok if you avoid challenges on some occasions. Accepting that you are not ready for a challenge and avoiding it, is actually harder (that's why most people don't do it, they pretend to be ready). That doesn't make you lazy or a coward. Sometimes, that's the best option for you. I have been a victim of always wanting to take the tougher route. And sometimes I was not ready and I suffered because of that. May be learning this is what you call 'maturity'. 😀
