Bouncing Back with a Cricket Fan's Guide to Healing Post-World Cup Blues! 😢🏏- Kudos to Men in Blue

I am myself writing this from a space of being absolutely heartbroken. As a True Blue Indian Cricket fan - I was shattered. And if you are an Indian Cricket fan reading this probably you are too. Isnt it?

How are we all?

Hurt?

Disappointed?

As the girl from Mumbai who has sp
ent all her life celebrating cricket wins at the iconic Shivaji Park ground with fireworks and shouting "India India" wearing blue t shirts- My heart absolutely broke after the loss at the World Cup final in 2023. I was far away from home with that piece of hurt in my heart seeing the collapse of the beautiful batting order of team India after such a fantastic record breaking performance through out the series.

Our Men in Blue fought really well and gave their best to this Tournament. And Yes-they did deserve a final win. But what happens when some events do not turn out the way we want them to and especially when we deserve victory.

Have you had those times in life when you knew you would win - but you did not?

May be you got fired from a job just because the company had to shut down.

Or You did not get promoted when you really deserved it - someone else less deserving took it away

Or You failed a competitive exam despite working hard

Or even Worse - a Relationship which gave you so much joy just ended

I feel sometimes when we get our hearts broken - we learn and move - because disappointments bring us to look at life from a different perspective

So, our team fell short in the World Cup cricket final, and the disappointment feels like a bouncer you never saw coming. We get it – the cricket fever is real, and the heartache is, too!

But fear not, fellow fanatics! It's time to dust off that jersey, wipe away the tears, and embrace the joyous game of healing. Let's turn those cricket frowns upside down! 😄🏆

1. A Moment of Silence for the Fallen Wickets: 🏏

Take a deep breath and honor the game. Cricket, like life, is a rollercoaster of emotions. Our team fought valiantly, and though victory slipped through their fingers, the spirit of the game lives on. So, let's have a moment of silence for those fallen wickets – they really fought hard but failed

2. Find Comfort in Cricket Memes and Humor: 😂🤣

Take a trip down memory lane and relive the epic highs of the tournament. From stunning catches to jaw-dropping sixes, bask in the glory of those unforgettable moments that made your heart race with excitement. There were records broken, some new ones made and some exceptional talent display through out the tournament. Let us not forget the relentless practice and magic they showed us through out

4. Plan a "Cricket Therapy" Session: 🍻🍔

Gather your fellow fans for a cricket therapy session at your favorite local spot. Share tales of our team's epic journey, drown the sorrows in some cricket-themed snacks, and toast to the spirit of the game. After all, good times and cricket are best enjoyed in good company! 🥂

5. Look Forward to the Next Innings: 🌈🏏

The beauty of cricket lies in its never-ending innings. Our team might not have clinched the trophy this time, but there's a new season, a new tournament, and a new chance to cheer them on to victory just around the corner. The cricketing world never sleeps, and neither should your spirit! 🌅

Conclusion: Celebrating the Spirit of Cricket! 🎉🏏

In the grand game of cricket, disappointment is just a temporary visitor, and the cheers of victory are always on the horizon. So, wipe away those cricket tears, dear fan! The game goes on, and with it, the joy, camaraderie, and the undying spirit that makes cricket the heartbeat of millions around the globe. Here's to healing, laughter, and the unwavering love for the game we hold so dear! 🥳🏏💙

Having said that - I am so grateful to Rohit, Virat and all the Men in Blue for such a fabulous performance through out the series. We are together in this time of disappointment.

Remember 1983 and 2011 -it will come again. We don't know when- but it will be back soon. Till then let us hang on to Hope Faith and Possibilities which we do not see today. Remember - Life is Series of Possibilities - and what is life without Hope!

Magic and possibilities to all my readers
